Home based agent

Definition: A home based agent is someone who works from their home office gathering, entering and confirming customer information, answering customer questions, resolving issues, providing customer care, engaging in live chat, responding to email, and handling sales calls with customers.

A home agent is not an independent contractor, but is an employee of a company. This company should provide paid training and there should not be annual fees, quarterly fees, training or equipment fees. There may be a small one time background check fee at the time you are hired

If hired as a home based agent, you will need a professional phone presence, a quiet working environment, a phone, reliable computer and a high speed Internet connection (DSL or Cable).
